  • Get Sporty: Think anoraks, hoodies, track pants, and T-shirt dresses. Designers: Marni, Dries Von Noten, Jean Paul Gaultier and DKNY

  • Flower Power: Take the spring theme to the limit as designers have. Peonies, Roses and more and more petals popped up everywhere on the catwalks. Designers: Thakoon, Marchesa, Alexander McQueen, and Yves Saint Laurent.

  • Forties Elegance: Think high-waisted duchesse satin short shorts, dolman sleeve blouses, and turbans. Designers: Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Ralph Lauren and Akris.

  • Star Wars: Think Darth Vader capes and space-goddess gowns. Designers: Stella McCartney, Pollini, Paco Rabanne and Versace.

  • Really Short: Think swingy geometric skirts and dresses that barely graze the upper thigh, with jackets and coats flaring down from the bust. Designers: Fendi, Gucci, Zac Posen, and Salvatore Ferragamo.
