How To Dress For Festival Season!

It's music festival season here in the UK. If you're planning to go, here are a couple of tips to keep you fashion forward like Sienna Miller and Kate Moss.

1. Aim for comfortable clothes. Think shorts and tees. If you're going for hotpants, then consult Whimsy ChiChi's article on that subject (here).

2. Think comfortable shoes. High heels are out (and totally uncool). Think funky flip flops and strap sandals. Or flat pumps. Leave the trainers at home. You could go for boots but make sure they're your comfy pair and again no high heels allowed.

3. Dig into your closet for the quirkiest funkiest accessories. Cowboy hats, bandanas, and all items of 80s inspired jewellery are great for the occasion. Think glass beads or any colored beads, layered necklaces, pendants, over sized earrings and metal adorned belts.

4. Go for flowy dresses, long or short goes this season. Think 60s style not gypsy. Boho not hobo is key.

Whimsy ChiChi's Picks:

Guatamalan Waistcoat, £30 / Studded Pouch Bag, £80

Print Sundress, £30 / Silk Sandals, £20

A Note On Kate Moss's TopShop Collection

Today, the Kate Moss Collection at TopShop hits stores nationwide. Yesterday was the grand opening with Kate Moss in flesh posing in the store's window down in London. Critics today have among labels of success, fantastic, fresh have also said that the designs are mere imitations of other designers' work that she already has in her wardrobe. To these critics, Whimsy ChiChi has two things to say:

A) Kate Moss is a supermodel not a fashion designer (Are all secretaries in an engineering company regardless of the time spent there expected to become engineers and start producing sketches of high-rises?)

B) Fashion is in the eyes of the beholder regardless of who the designer is. Some like it and some not. It's as simple as that.

Whimsy ChiChi likes the idea of new clothes wherever they may be, and by a super model then all the better. Only concern is that we hope she's taken all sizes above ten into consideration as well. Now, that's something to think about.
