It was golden shoes for Katie Holmes and Drew Barrymore at the Gucci affair (as if their golden lives weren't enough for us mere mortals).

Tips for Wearing A Red Dress!

1. If you have dark skin, choose a red dress closer to burgundy. You will also look good in fuchsia, deep plum, and purple.

2. If you have moderately dark skin then you can pull off wearing dresses from deep red to brick red.

3. If you have light skin, opt for a berry or soft plum dress. Choose sheer fabric as it softens the red color.

4. If you are a little heavy, then stay away from a full on red color, instead choose a darker base and accentuate it with red accessories (shoes, a scarf, jewellery, ...).

5. When wearing a red dress, go easy on the make-up. Soften the eye shadow maybe opting for a little shimmer and mascara or eyeliner and mascara for more effect. Lightly dust the rest of the face. Avoid red lipstick with a red dress, instead go for a pale lipstick with gloss.

6. Do not wear black shoes with a red dress unless you are tanned, for a more elegant look, choose tan, high-heeled sandals. (And never pair a red dress with red shoes).

Beyonce Knowles steps out in metallic shoes and bag, a key trend this Spring. This look is perfect if you want to tone down your look or hide any body imperfections as you can just wear a basic black dress and just jazz it up with shiny accessories. Do not attempt this hem if you are over 40, it will make you look trashy not flashy.

Drew Barrymore steps out in Monochrome. We like the fact that she opted to carry a bag with a different color. Longer pant hems also give the illusion of longer leaner legs. Again, the metallic effect with the bangle. If you are bottom heavy though you may want to switch the colors by making your trousers the darker shade and wearing a light colored top for a more slimming effect.
