What To Wear: Top-Heavy Women

Choose flat-front trousers with a low waist. Avoid pleated high-waist pants. (Autograph Sateen Button Trousers, £35, Marks & Spencer).

For formal dresses, go for strapless dresses with a corseted bustier. Choose knee length dresses to show off legs. (Cream embroidered corset top, £32.5, Next)

Choose A-line skirts that will define your waist. Again, play up nice legs with shorter skirts. (Autograph tie front pleated skirt, £29.5, Marks & Spencer)

Go for tailored jackets and tops. Never baggy. A belt or button will define your waist and give you an hour glass figure. (Plus single button contrast jacket, £69, Marks & Spencer)

Avoid too tight or too baggy tops. Choose V-necks, boat necks and turtle necks. However, if you don't want to draw too much attention to your upper body, then go for darker colors on top and pair with colored bottoms. (Plus beaded neckline top, £25, Marks & Spencer)

Go for shirt collars that are flattering for you and keep a few buttons open (not too much though). Avoid full or puffy sleeves.(Plus 3/4 length plain cuffed shirt, £9.5, Marks & Spencer)
